Description
It is not uncommon to see fruit baskets being offered on the final day of funeral wakes by family members, relatives and friends of the decedent.
A fruit basket is typically offered to the deceased as a form of final tribute paid before the official departure of the cortege on the final day of the wake. The fruits usually comes with huat cake and these are distributed to the offerers after the ceremony has been completed.
Do take note that only individuals that are junior to the decedent can offer fruit baskets to him/ her.
